InnoVenture Challenge 2016

Victorious Kidss Educares participated in InnoVenture, an ideation and Entrepreneurship challenge for students aged 9-14 years. The final challenge round witnessed the presence of 256 participants from 44 schools all over India. This challenge was held on 28th January at VIT College, Pune.

Each grade had different challenges. The First Task was based on creativity. They created a model or design on the problem statements given to them, based on real life challenges. They had group activities, followed by a session of formulating new ideas or inventions on the given question. The last challenge was a personal interview. The competition was tough but our students were able to solve all the solution problems with creativity and confidence.

At the award ceremony, all the students throughout the challenge honored Victorious Kidss Educares with the ‘Best Performing School Award’ for its exemplary performance. The School Leader, Ms. Dione Fernandes along with the students, received the award and gift vouchers. Prisha Sahu from PYP 4E received the ‘School Topper’ certificate and medal for her creativity. Every other finalist received certificates and a gift voucher. As a gift voucher, the students received a quarterly subscription worth 799 of the online Fundament or Gamming Program, while the school leader received passes to Adventure Pulse. Om Desai from PYP 4E and Ansh Saini from PYP 5B received ‘School Topper’ Certificates and a medal. The semifinalists received participation certificates at their respective schools.
In the first round sixty five (65) students from VKE (PYP4 to MYP2) participated in Round-1, this round was held at school. The students were made to complete a creativity test, which was then assessed by InnoVenture. The short-listed students were promoted to Round-2, which was a telephonic interview. Sixteen (16) students, based on their creative thinking, were then qualified to the Final Round. Before the final round, IIM entrepreneurs and CEO’s conducted a training session on 27th January 2017. The talks were very informative and motivational. The speakers inspired children to become future entrepreneurs.

On 28th January, the Final challenge round, all the students, school leaders and parents were happy to take back good experiential memories with them. A streak of motivation filled the hall, encouraging students to further develop their ideation skills and become future leaders and entrepreneurs.
