Romen Ghosh – Director Sports & Activities
Romen Ghosh stands out as a distinguished figure in the world of sports, with a career marked by significant achievements and accolades. For 15 years, he proudly represented India internationally in badminton. In 1970, Romen Ghosh was ranked the top player in Men’s Singles, showcasing his exceptional skill and dedication. His prowess continued to shine as he earned a Bronze Medal at the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran. That same year, he was honored with the Arjuna Award, the highest sports accolade awarded by the Government of India.
Following his retirement in 2000 from his role as Assistant General Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited, Romen Ghosh transitioned into influential roles within the sports community. He currently serves as Chairman of the State Badminton Committee in Calcutta and extends his expertise to trainees under the Excellence Scheme of the Sports Authority of India.
Recognizing the untapped potential within Victorious Kidss Educares, Romen Ghosh accepted the role of Director of Sports & Activities. While the school had already excelled in academics, arts, and humanities, it sought to elevate its sports education. Romen Ghosh's vision is to integrate world-class sports facilities and programs, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to excel in sports, just as they do in academics and the arts. His goal is to foster an environment where students can aspire to Olympic-level achievements, working alongside the dedicated team at Victorious Kidss Educares to realize this vision.
