School Policies

At Victorious Kidss Educares, we teach students the importance of community service and the impact of small acts of kindness. Our commitment to nurturing lifelong learners extends to instilling a sense of compassion and personal responsibility for service within our community and the environment. Our approach emphasizes that education should go beyond individual growth and community service is one of the ways we achieve this.

At VKE, we actively encourage students to engage in community service during school hours. This practice not only builds leadership skills but also builds qualities of care and commitment, ultimately boosting their confidence. Our educational philosophy always strives to go beyond academics and skill development. We aim to cultivate a value system rooted in Vedanta teachings, guiding our students to become thoughtful, caring, and engaged members of the society. The spirit of service learning and community engagement is an integral part of every academic program we offer.

Action Service Programme in PYP

In the Primary Years Programme (PYP), action concludes the learning journey, where students apply knowledge, real-life skills, and demonstrate understanding. This genuine commitment to action, rooted in the learner profile and attitudes, often extends beyond the classroom.

At Victorious Kidss Educares, we empower students to take responsibility for their learning, following our motto, “Learning to Love to Learn.” We aim to equip them with lifelong learning tools and instill values for responsible global citizenship through collaboration among students, teachers, and parents. Teachers act as facilitators and guides. The PYP integrates action and service from the Early Years through our “Action & Service” program, inspiring students to apply their knowledge to better the community and the world. This program is shaped in both classroom and home environments, with support from teachers and parents throughout the academic year.

MYP Service as Action

In our Middle Years Programme (MYP), students actively engage in Service as Action, reflecting on the impact of their actions, and gaining essential life skills. At Victorious Kidss Educares (VKE), our holistic curriculum prepares students for active participation in the 21st century.

Our unique approach involves service learning through field trips, connecting students with real-world experiences that complement academics and foster empathy. One such transformative field trip took place when MYP 1 students visited Santulan Bhavan. This event allowed students to interact with the Santulan Bhavan community, engage in hands-on activities, and reinforce values like teamwork and environmental consciousness. Another remarkable occasion occurred when students from Santulan Bhavan visited our MYP 2 students, who organized various activities and served breakfast, promoting cultural exchange and mutual growth.

DP CAS

The IB Diploma Programme incorporates Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) as a core component, extending students’ personal and interpersonal growth beyond the PYP and MYP. CAS revolves around three main pillars: creativity, activity, and service. At VKE, CAS aligns with the school’s philosophy, promoting the development of compassionate global citizens.

Engaging in CAS leaves a lasting impact on students’ personal growth and holistic development, benefitting both the students and their local and global communities. VKE offers students the flexibility to plan their own CAS projects and experiences, encouraging participation in local, national, and global activities to enhance personal, interpersonal, and social skills. CAS becomes a challenging and transformative journey of self-discovery. CAS activities are meaningful, leading to significant outcomes. The CAS stages, encompassing investigation, preparation, action, reflection, and demonstration, provide a foundational framework for CAS experiences and projects.

Ecological Investigation at Chorao Island - IBDP CAS Trip 2023

Students participated in a guided ecological expedition to Chorao Island with a focus on studying its biodiversity and ecological systems. Activities included trap camera setup, invertebrate study, exploration of fishing practices, and learning about mangroves. The boat trip through the mangroves vividly illustrated their ecological significance. This invertebrate study deepened the students’ understanding of their roles in the ecosystem, aiming to comprehend the island’s unique ecosystem and the importance of its preservation.

Another student project involved building bat houses as a wildlife conservation service. The students collaborated to plan, design, construct, and install the bat houses, advocating for bat conservation with the message: “Save bats: Nature’s own pest control.”

In another exploration, students embarked on a guided heritage walk through Fontainhas in Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to delve into its rich history and culture. This well-organized tour uncovered the historical landmarks, vibrant

Portuguese-style houses, and intricate architectural details under the guidance of knowledgeable experts. It was a fruitful CAS experience, offering students a deeper connection with the heritage of the region.

Exploring A Model Global Village

EXPLORING A MODEL GLOBAL VILLAGE - IBDP CAS TRIP 2022

The CAS field trip took place from December 17th to 22nd, 2022, in Auroville, Puducherry, a former French colonial settlement. This experiential learning journey allowed students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings, fostering self-reflection and a deeper understanding of the world around them. During the trip, students explored the three CAS components: Creativity, Activity, and Service. They visited the Matrimandir, known as the ‘soul of the city,’ where they contributed by applying cob balls to an amphitheater wall. Engaging in Q&A sessions with field experts, students delved into local and global contexts.

Mornings began with meditation, followed by hands-on experiences like weeding and handling plant saplings at the Buddha Organic Garden. The students were enchanted by the bamboo and other musical instruments at Swaram, where they had the opportunity to create their own bamboo instruments, showcasing their creativity.

An early morning meditation session in the Sun farm garden with wind chimes set a positive and mindful tone for each day. The beach provided a fun environment for sports, games, and socializing. In addition, students received scuba diving training from expert divers at the Padi center.

A guided tour by a local Puducherry guide offered insights into the city’s rich history, including visits to landmarks such as the French consulate, Ganesha temple, war memorial, and stories of prominent personalities like Asharam and Shri Aurobindo.

Reflection played a central role in the CAS experience, encouraging students to explore their ideas, skills, strengths, and limitations. It helped them understand how their prior learning could be applied in new contexts. The journey culminated in final presentations on the last day, allowing students to grow personally and socially, develop critical skills, and embody the attributes of the IB learner profile. The CAS trip reinforced their unique identities and their roles in relation to others.

Art @ VKE

We do not make art just to make something beautiful, but to understand and change the world around us,” is a belief that deeply resonated with us, the Diploma Programme visual arts students at Victorious Kidss Educares, during our art exhibition in March 2022. Guided by our Visual Arts Team, the students, through the IBDP Visual Arts course, were challenged with crossing creative boundaries and cultural expectations.

This thought-provoking course encouraged students to develop technical proficiency and confidence as art-makers while honing their problem-solving and divergent thinking skills

Our exhibition displayed the unique artistic explorations of four students, each delving into themes such as daily life design, music, self-acceptance, well-being, and the emotional struggles teenagers face with body image. We employed a variety of techniques and mediums, including acrylics, mixed media like mirrors and lamps, and cold ceramics, to bring our ideas to life. Each artwork was a reflection of personal growth and the intensive research that went into it, blending traditional academic methods with our own experiential learning.

Through maintaining our Visual Art journals, a central element of the course, we assimilated numerous approaches to teaching and learning (ATL) skills that facilitated our meaningful learning experiences. This exhibition was not just a display of our artistic talents but a demonstration of our journey to understand and impact the audience at our school, which highly appreciated our efforts and insights.

STUDENTS COUNCIL

At Victorious Kidss Educares in Pune, we take pride in
offering a comprehensive range of International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, from the Foundation Years Programme (FYP) to the IB Diploma Programme (IB-DP). Our commitment is to foster an environment that supports both academic and personal growth. We facilitate this through extensive career counseling, college placements, and a robust student council.

We aim to develop leadership and problem-solving skills among our students by providing a variety of academic and extracurricular activities including the Model United Nations, Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and international excursions. Our facilities are designed to support these programs and provide after-school care, creating an inclusive atmosphere that promotes educational development and personal growth for working parents.

Our Student Council is central to maintaining a harmonious community within our school. It enhances communication between students, teachers, and management, and empowers students with opportunities to develop leadership skills and understand democracy. The council organizes events and upholds a culture of good citizenship and moral values. On November 14, 2022, we celebrated the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected members of our student council. This event, attended by our school’s president, principal, various program heads, teachers, and students, was a testament to our dedication to nurturing responsible and effective leaders for the future.

Model United Nations

Most adults find it difficult to exhibit talents and express opinions. This is due to the lack of critical skill sets which are imperative towards ensuring uninhibited progress and unwavering self-belief. The problem can be solved through exposure and orientation to such skill sets at a young age itself. Some of these include:

  • Leadership Skills such as Public Speaking and Oratory Skills, Communication Skills, Problem Solving and Decision Making.
  • Entrepreneurial Skills such as Lateral Thinking, Team Work and Self Promotion.
  • General Awareness about Local, National and Current Affair Issues.
  • Diplomatic Skills such as Lobbying, Argumentation and Collaboration.

Victorious Kidss Educares has a very comprehensive Model UN Programme in collaboration with MUNWorld India. We believe that participation in MUN builds skills and attitudes necessary in this connected world. We start preparing our student early and have various programmes for different age groups.

LEAD Programme
(PYP – 3 to PYP – 5)

LEAD (an acronym for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Awareness and Diplomacy) is SkillSphere Education’s flagship programme for students of 8 to 12 years old. A well-defined and systematically structured programme, LEAD is highly successful in ensuring….

that young students get exposed to, and develop the aforementioned skills at an early stage itself. The LEAD programme for students of PYP 3 to PYP focuses on basic communication skill development, global awareness enhancement and development of other life skills such as problem solving, decision making and analytical skills among many others. This is a yearlong programme of 18-24 hours which is conducted once a week.

Enlighten MUN
(MYP-1 to MYP-3)

Enlighten MUN is a long term programme focusing on the development of essential skill sets, MUN training as well as a full-fledged MUN simulation towards the end of the programme. Students develop essential skill sets such as collaborative problem solving,

public speaking, opinion development, group discussions, debating, and spontaneity among several others through various sessions involving practical, experiential as well as theoretical learning. This is followed by an introduction to the concept of MUNs, MUN procedure and then a complete MUN simulation on the final day of the workshop.

MUN Club
(MYP 4 to DP 2)

The MUN Club programme focuses on training students and making them participate in local, national and international level MUN conferences. Students participate in various local, national and International MUN conferences throughout the year.

The MUN Club also works towards organizing the Pune World Summit which is the flagship MUN Conference of the school. The students have successfully organized the Pune World Summit for last two years.

Our MUN simulates the United Nations, facilitating student engagement in international law, security, economic development, social progress, and human rights issues. By participating, students adopt the roles of delegates from various countries, aiming to draft resolutions that address critical global concerns. This experience not only sparks interest in international relations but also enhances skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, research, and communication.

It’s a perfect platform for students to develop leadership abilities and understand democratic processes, preparing them for future roles in politics, law, business, and beyond.

Our school organizes various MUN-related activities tailored for different age groups. For younger students in the Primary Years Programme, the LEAD Programme focuses on basic communication and global awareness. Moving into the Middle Years Programme, the Enlighten MUN initiative provides in-depth training and culminates in a full-scale MUN simulation. For older students, our MUN Club offers continuous engagement with local, national, and international MUN conferences, including organizing our flagship event, the Pune World Summit. This event not only showcases our students’ organizational skills but also their ability to engage deeply with complex global issues. Through these initiatives, we strive to create an environment where our students can grow into well-informed, responsible global citizens, fully equipped to make positive changes in the world.

THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE

On 7th October 2022, the senior students of Victorious Kidss Educares (VKE) brilliantly showcased their deep understanding and real-world application of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) during a meticulously organized TOK Exhibition. This internal assessment component required each student to create an individual exhibition based on one of 35 critical knowledge prompts provided by the IB, using three carefully selected objects to explore diverse facets of the chosen prompt.

The exhibition, which drew visitors from across the school, including students and teachers from various sections, was a resounding success, demonstrating the students’ commitment to their IBDP journey and sparking rich discussions on the profound questions posed by TOK.

This event not only highlighted the students’ intellectual prowess but also enriched the entire school community’s appreciation of TOK’s relevance in understanding the world.

International Excursions

On July 8, 2023, we had the privilege of sending seven of our girl students from the MYP and DP programs to the “Girls Gearing Up International Leadership Academy Summit-2023” in Berlin, Germany. Participating in this week-long international camp alongside 37 young changemakers from 11 different countries, our students engaged deeply with the theme ‘Creating communities towards a sustainable future’.

They partook in cultural exchanges, online group discussions, and visited the Technical University in Berlin, where they learned about sustainable methods in 3-D printing and developed their own environmentally-focused designs.

Our students also presented a scientific project on sustainable futures, demonstrating their innovative thinking and commitment to positively impacting our planet. Their visit to the Airbnb centre in Berlin further enriched their understanding of global sustainability practices. Demonstrating all the Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, they showed remarkable dedication and passion, embodying the spirit of global citizenship and an eagerness to learn from international mentors. We are incredibly proud of how they represented our school, showcasing intellectual rigour, cultural appreciation, and a collaborative spirit.

Their participation not only highlighted their capability to grasp complex concepts but also their potential to apply these insights to real-world challenges, leaving a lasting impression at this international forum.

Sparsh Kataria (IBDP- 2020-2021 Graduate)

Biomedical Engineer student at Penn State University, USA

At the very outset, I would like to express my heartiest thanks to the VKE family. I extend my warm regards to my IBDP teachers, the programme heads, and coordinators who have immensely helped me succeed. VKE has greatly facilitated me to achieve my goals by devising me for college through its meticulously designed programme. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at VKE was a representation of what university academics would be like, which helped me stay a step ahead at Penn State University, US.

The IB curriculum has taught me the value of perseverance and dedication, and the fruits of hard work. The environment and guidance that VKE provides are best to nurture the talents of young students like us. VKE believes that every child is unique and thus offers specialized need attention to each of the students- there are many schools that have adopted the challenging IB curriculum, but few have such a truly diverse, yet tight-knit student body. It is rare to find a classroom with students from around the globe who focus on their similarities instead of arguing over differences. VKE is exceptional in the wealth of its diverse community of people – you learn as much from your peers as from your mentors, and it keeps you humble, opening your eyes to other perspectives and your personal degree of ignorance.
Of late, I completed my first year as a Biomedical Engineer student at Penn State University, US. Throughout my freshman year at Penn State University, I have upheld my academics with a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. I got elected as the director of a residence hall association club. I am progressively executing undergrad research in photoacoustic imaging where I will be publishing research papers. I have worked on imaging the brain of a mouse, human tissues, and much more using the technology we developed during my initial year. I have also vindicated my interest in sports, by being a part of the Penn State volleyball community. My team and I won a championship last semester that had more than 70 teams. Overall, I am appreciating my time at Penn State through my passion and interest in learning more. Today, if I am fortunate to study this course at a renowned university it’s because of what I have learned from VKE.

Yashh Kotecha (IBDP- 2019-2020 Graduate)

Mathematics student at The University of Edinburgh, UK

Victorious Kidss Educares is a great school! The name itself is a brand and I am still associated with it. The IB Model School nurtured us with care as the almighty does. The faculty support was over and beyond limits with strong intentions to mold us to perfection. The 2 years of IBDP time spent in VKE was the best time I had in our life and every moment spent on the school campus is still precious. The knowledge and transformation we had here is the reason we find ourselves successful today.

I am currently a senior reading Mathematics student at The University of Edinburgh, UK. I studied IBDP with Further Maths, Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at Higher Level with Extended Essay in Maths at Victorious Kidss Educares.
The independence one feels at university is unreal. Over the couple of years, I spent there, I feel grateful to have solid backing in the international curriculum as I had in IBDP. The skills I procured in my DP, helped me be socially active being part of academic and cultural societies like KoreanSoc, IndianSoc, and MathSoc. Other than that, I volunteered to represent my year cohort last year in the Student-Staff Liaison Committee in the School of Maths. This year I stood and was elected office bearer as the Mathematics Undergraduate School Representative. The ability to foster homeliness also brought about the MathClans initiative at the university, where nerds can get a place to nerd out and make friends without fear of judgment.
All this though did not come at the expense of my education. Being directly admitted in the second year at university was challenging but IBDP Further Maths made all the difference for me. As of right now, I got one of the fifteen places in all of the School of Maths to undertake a research internship on ‘The Algebra and Geometry of the Gaudin System’ with a stipend of 1800 GBP. This grant money was sponsored partly by the School of Maths and partly under the esteemed College Vacation Scholarship. My education prepared me in such a way that I am currently on track for a first-class degree!
All I have to say is that IBDP prepares you for university in many more ways than you expect. The depth of your education gets you ready for your intended major, but the breadth is also very important. Knowing something about everything is important to hold and tune in to all the different kinds of conversations people have in real life. You will learn in the leadership positions, and I don’t need to tell you, but you’ll already have mastered working under stress by the time you obtain your Diploma.
The teachers here encourage students to do their very best, and truly care not only about your education but about you as a person! Furthermore, the VKE environment provides opportunities, and challenges which help you discover yourself better. The IB programme provided me with a well-rounded experience, alongside the insane credentials to help me secure offers from NYU, University of Edinburgh, University of Warwick, etc. I highly recommend VKE for people who are really looking to ‘Learn to Love to Learn’!

Thanishq-Kokare-scaled-e1675759127838

Thanishq Kokare (IBDP- 2018-2019 Graduate)

Fashion Design student at NABA, Milan, Italy

High School is a place where you mature and turn into a seasoned professional. It’s a passé where you fascinate a tremendous amount of knowledge and explore the limits of your imagination. My time at VKE was no different. I learned the nuances of Art & Design Technology under the guidance of some of the most experienced IB faculties. I just completed the last semester of my fashion design course at NABA, Italy and I latterly showcased my graduate collection to a jury that included journalists from Vogue Italia and fashion insiders in the Italian fashion scene.

I’m working with a renowned shoe designer where I develop ideas into sketches and be categorically involved in the process of a collection from start to finish. The shoe industry is where I wish to major as my future course of study. During busy fashion weeks, I work offstage for fashion shows (Alexandra Moura, Vien Atelier), helping models get ready and experience a live fashion show through a new pair of eyes. Furthermore, I also work as an assistant to casting directors for brand campaigns (Ray-ban, Carrera, Polaroid) and showroom assistant during sale periods(DVF, grey groove). I am also a freelance stylist for magazines where I get to work behind the scenes.
Being an IB student at VKE allowed me to develop strong and close relationships with my teachers, and utilize a multitude of opportunities by which I could engage myself in the local and global communities. IB is undoubtedly challenging nonetheless the VKE community is tremendously supportive that the whole experience was nothing but rewarding. As I can reminisce I knew I wanted to peruse a design career field and VKE truly gave me an opportunity to explore through my projects (personal project, visual arts, and Design technology) based on my goals and gain experience and knowledge as an outsider. Today I feel like a part of the fashion community with the fashion experiences I have gained here in Milan, with the strong backing of VKE and the Vedantic and spiritual practices keeping me grounded even in this “glamorous” world. I have also worked with an indeed aspiring brand DIANE VON FURSTENBERG as a stage intern during fashion week and it was an enormous opportunity to work with such a big established brand. The IB ATL skills that I learned throughout my school tenure have infinitely helped me here be organized and ready to take on new roles assigned to me. Although I have never met a designer, it was great to work for someone who is really been there in the fashion industry since the 90s and has seen the rise and fall of many brands, designers, and creatives.
My passion for fashion initially started from watching the women around me dress up around me and that sort of inspired me to go into a more creative route. I am quite inspired by Saardha ma’am and Ira ma’am who are such fashionable women, and I made it a point to see them every day just to admire what they would so graciously wear. I would often just look at the all teachers in school and their sense of style would intrigue me and make me wonder how I would style their outfits through my aesthetic and point of view. Since the IB curriculum is more learning-based and VKE was more of hands-on learning where we figure out what we want to do and how to work towards the right direction and achieve it, it makes us more Independent as individuals. Apart from university and freelance jobs, in my free time, I am doing various fashion courses online to expand my knowledge of expertises like styling, merchandising, and the business marketing aspect of fashion. VKE teachings have been a backbone for where I am today. VKE’s journey has always been extraordinary rather than just formal education. I have learned how to have a solemn & good work ethic, and self-management skills, and overall has shaped me into the person I am today.

Parthu Koppana (IBDP- 2016-2017 Graduate)

Medicine student at Boston Medical College, USA

VKE principles focus on nurturing & enriching young talents into efficient and passionate leaders. My learning journey at VKE was one of the best experiences in my life. The campus has excellent infrastructure and is very beautiful with a perfect blend of nature. There is something motivational and special in this phenomenal spiritual environment that made us focus on our studies and enjoy co-curricular activities. IBDP was one of the best decisions I have ever made, it opened up my mind to a vast number of opportunities, experiences, and thoughts. Having CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service) showed me how much I can do for the community first at a local level and then implement globally; this got me prepared for my life now.

Parthu-Koppana-e1675759094462

The opportunities that I was allowed to have with VKE through CAS, made it easier for me to be part of bigger organizations at my university now. Then TOK (theory of knowledge) helped me understand the world better from a knowledge perspective. VKE provided me with a number of opportunities as the teachers, coordinators, and principal have an “open-door policy”, where I was able to talk to all of them regarding any questions I had about my classes then and my coming future. The school empowers the students to think big and see the ways in which we can make a difference as individuals, with open communication and transparency between students and teachers. Such policies made it easier for students to get the help they needed, understand their own future career opportunities or clear out any doubts about the present or future.
The VKE Career Counseling department plays an immense role in the direction our future takes us, and they do a just job at it. They helped me first to evaluate my interests, personality, and aptitude; decide what I wanted to do, and then chose my subjects accordingly. From there on look into the requirements for future colleges, and made a huge impact by being able to direct me in the right direction. The other way in which they got me to the place I am today is by helping me find internships and courses that are best suited for me. VKE also helped me get a head start in college and my job, the library team helped me with my research, citation, and college application essays, which helped me get under-graduation research opportunities, and also helped me get a head start on how to conduct research in the sciences. IBDP in VKE has made a huge difference in the opportunities I receive today, as the school also taught me not to let go of great opportunities. I would like to thank each and everyone at VKE for giving me unconditional support and opportunities to step on the first rung of the ladder of success. I am overwhelmed by being a proud alumnus of VKE for whatever & wherever I am today.

Saloni Dhoot (IBDP- 2015-2016 Graduate)

UX Designer at Tata Consultancy Services

Nine great years at Victorious Kidss Educares was an incredible experience. Thanks to the VKE community for shaping my future! The rigor and quality of education provided by VKE have opened opportunities for me to excel in academics and beyond. This I believe is the reason why VKE is an outstanding IB school with global recognition. Teaching methods and the practical exposure greatly motivated me to think beyond limits and inspire me to dream about what I wanted to pursue in my life.

I graduated from the Indian School of Design & Innovation, Mumbai. Presently working with Tata Consultancy Services as a User Experience Designer for the past 3 years. It has been 6 years since my journey at VKE ended; nevertheless, its teachings are ingrained within me. I have been a student at VKE from PYP-4 up to DP-2, throughout those years I have seen myself grow not only academically, but holistically as an individual. VKE helped shape my identity and nurtured me to realize my true potential. After graduating from DP, I became an inquisitive, responsible, and confident learner.
I graduated as a product designer, and all those skills that I had developed during my DP journey; be it time management, organization, thinking, or communication, gave me an upper hand while tackling several projects. The journey also taught me the art of articulating my thoughts, ideologies, and opinions which helped me comprehend the ways of the real world and distinctively define them. I have learned through the years that defining a problem in the design field is as important as solving it. Additionally, the emphasis on holistic development in the integrative curriculum of DP has imbibed within me the drive to maintain balance in my personal and professional life. This has always challenged me to outrival in life.
As a designer, I believe my strongest tools are empathy, respect, integrity, and open-mindedness; all of which were nurtured in me through the many years I spent as an IB student at VKE. The DP has molded me into my ideal human being; one who is honest, critical, adaptable, and self-aware. It has molded my eccentricity by bestowing me with great learning opportunities and giving me the freedom to sculpt my personality. It has made sure that I continue watering myself with knowledge and skills and grow gracefully. As I enter the world of jobs and professionalism, I have no doubt these skills and abilities would continue to advocate my steps to make this world a better place.

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

The career counselling department at Victorious Kidss has initiated an “Internship Program” for our Diploma Students.

Internship programs is a learning experience that is directly linked to a student’s subject of specialisation and career aspirations. Internships help students to apply classroom learning’s, theories and experiences to professional settings. In today’s competitive environment, mere academics will not suffice to achieve the higher goals of life; it is such kind of hands on experience that goes a long way in helping students create a niche for themselves.

About the Internship Program @ VKE

  • The internship program is mandatory for every DP student.
  • The internship program is designed for duration of 3-5 weeks. (Min – 1 week; Max 4 weeks) where students visit a particular organization and work in their selected area of interest.
  • For example if a student plans to study engineering after diploma then he/she can undertake an assignment in an engineering set up.
  • This will help them solidify their decision to take up that particular career.
  • Students have to complete the below Internship Instruction Form’ and submit to the career counselling department.
  • The form contains the reasons why the student is choosing this particular organization and the particular assignment
  • This will enable us to verify if he is doing his interns in line with his career aspiration.
  • Students should select the subject of internship based on their area of interest and career objective.
  • In cases where students have more than one career aspiration, you have the choice of doing your 1 week of internship in one area of preference and the 2nd week of internship in the other area of choice.
  • In some cases they may opt to choose a particular internship based on the course work that they have taken up or any other substantial and significant experiences and educational opportunities that they have had in the past.
  • The career counselling department will verify all the above and give a consent for the internship program.
  • If students do not prepare for their internship or do not continue their internship program, they will obtain lesser grades in their IAs and the Career counselling department will not be responsible for their admission process thereafter.
  • On completion or during the internship, students should start the preparation of the following:
  • a weekly journal of work activities and observations as they relate to theory;
  • a formal paper (8-10 pages) which integrates experience, applied theory, and perceptions of the job;
  • a portfolio of work/product samples;
  • an interview protocol and data from interviews conducted with organization personnel to obtain information about their jobs and background;
  • a publishable abstract as a result of reading a business book on a related topic.
  • As a requirement of the Internship experience students should also submit at the end of the semester:
  • The Intern Evaluation form provided by the School and completed by your respective reporting manager at work.
  • Intern Experience Letter” to be obtained from the organization.
us-trip-1

Career Exploratory Program

This journey we embarked on at 29th October 2017 can be described as one of the most memorable school trips. From exploring the city that never sleeps to visiting the topmost colleges and universities in the entire world, there was no aspect of the trip which did not make us jump in joy. Every single day we filled our wonder sheets and went off discovering the realms of this wonderful nation. We visited Mother Liberty and learnt what significance it holds to Americans. We visited Broadway, Times Square, Madame Tussauds, UN Headquarters and all the amazing places the ‘Big Apple’ boasts. Our personal favourites were the Universities, of course, MIT, Harvard and Yale. Seeing those students scampering around hallways, mixing portions, studying in the remarkable libraries made us want to be there along with them and enthused us to pursue the dreams we have.

As it was a Career Exploratory program, we witnessed various careers in action, a UN representative, an international officer, theatre artist, or a museum curator. But then came the days we looked most forward to, our visit to Kennedy Space Centre. We hopped on board the Atlantis Shuttle and launched into 2 days of stars, satellites and space exploration. We saw the control rooms, met some superheroes of space, and experienced what it was to be rocketed off the land. All of this amazing study adventures were balanced out with our 2 days of fun at Sea World and Universal Studios. We sat on the adrenaline pumping high-speed Mako rollercoaster and explored Hogwarts, the realm of the Harry Potter.

We went ride after ride with a grin on our face, taking the most out of the last days of our marvellous adventure. Finally, the day came and we left the States with a smile on our face, but sadness washed away on our hearts, knowing that it was over.

This trip taught us what it was to love to learn, through practical explorations and experiments. We duly thank Jaya Maam, who put up with our mischief with a smile and volunteered to accompany us on this unforgettable trip. We thank Shaarda Maam and Dr Ghosh, who give us such wonderful varied opportunities for learning.
